Window Seat

So I really didn't think making a usable window seat was even possible, I fully expected this to be deco only.  But to my surprise things went well and sims can use it.  I originally made this for the M&G Empire Bay window so the mesh is designed for that, but also to my surprise it fit into both other windows!  So the mesh doesn't fit perfectly in the other windows, but it is really close.

This mesh is slaved to Jonesi's Bed blanket!

  • This was cloned from a loveseat and has all functions of one.  There are a couple minor animation glitches with the sims sinking into the window area when exiting.  If you  play with walls as cut away the wall around the window will cut away when  a sim sits, but if you move the camera angle around a it it comes back.  Pictures are in the linked album.
  • The meshes footprint sits right in front of the window, just as any loveseat placed there.  The sims do route properly when getting in and walk right through the footprint area.
  • When recoloring in game you will have to select the front portion of the seat, it's not tiny, but you can't quite click the middle of the mesh because it is being consumed by the window.

This is awesome.  :woot I'd love it if it weren't slaved to Jonesi's blanket, but I reckon it's time I give in and join the crowd. My dl folder has the room now, after all.
