I was just made aware of these, after using my own method (tutorial (https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=492525)) for making lockable driveway gates that don't require any CC for a number of years.
I haven't checked these in-game yet, but if they work as advertised, they're great. I'm somewhat surprised that I have not seen a single house uploaded anywhere that uses these (or my own method, other than a few of my own houses). Is there some other way to keep critters and nosy neighbors out of a Lot other than this?

Maybe you haven't seen it because people don't use driveways much? Not sure why really.  But you could also use an invisible fence across the driveway...if it places?

So I did a little testing and found out why I've never seen anyone use these driveway gates. It's because they essentially don't work, unless I'm missing something obvious.
When I install these gates over a fence the way one would normally install a fence gate, the fence graphics do not disappear. Instead, the fence graphic as well as the gate graphic are both visible. This obviously doesn't look good.
On the other hand, if I leave a 5-square gap in my fence and place the gates into that gap using the moveobjects on cheat, it looks good but the gates subsequently cannot be locked.

The above test results are valid regardless of whether a driveway is added or which of the OP's four fences I tested. I should also point out that a careful look at the OP's picture shows that they apparently did not actually place these gates atop a driveway.

So here are the pictures.
Here's what it looks like when I placed the "pig-pen" gate into a gap inbetween the Maxis "Tornado" fence (the closest aesthetic match), using moveobjects on. It looks good, but unfortunately will not lock (because there was no actual fence), which defeats the entire purpose of the fence and gate:

Here's what it looks like when I placed the gate in the normal manner, right atop the fence. While this methods results in the gate being lockable, the fence is still visible, which doesn't look good and is hardly worth using the extra custom content:

At this point, my own easy tutorial on constructing fences and gates across driveways (here (https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=492525)) still achieves what these gates don't and do not require any custom content.

If the goal is for it to actually work (and keep critters out) as opposed to realistic looking aesthetics (which is what I go for - because I don't actually "play" *sigh*) ...then, what about using an invisible fence under the gate/driveway section? Would that work?

Not that there's anything wrong with your tutorial's method - I'm just wondering...

If the invisible fence otherwise has all the properties of a fence, then theoretically it should work. But now you're asking players to not only download these fence gates, but an additional invisible fence.
In any case, I'm done messing with this, unless the OP shows up and demonstrates how these gates are supposed to work, or someone fixes them. I think all that needs to be done is to make these gates behave like any other fence gate - that is, to make the underlying fence graphics go away. That's really the only problem here.
