Inge Jones AutoShade - Moves up/down with AL
« on: July 22, 2009, 06:56:51 PM »
The original's did move up/down, but just barely.  The mesh itself was about floor to ceiling, even though the texture doesn't show that.  This prevented the mesh from going up/down.  But it was a lot of wasted texture space unused (at least I have not seen a floor/ceiling recolor).  If you want a true floor/ceiling, you need to keep Inge's originals.

Basically an object can move up/down within the constrains of the height of the mesh, this includes shadows.

I have resized the mesh to match the original texture.  I also remapped it slightly so that recolors will be almost the same height as before.  Filenames are the same and will overwrite the originals.  Includes diagonals.

When slaving these to bedding they lose the open/close functionality, that was my first attempt.  I also suspect that slaving to anything else will also cause the open/close to stop working.

The reason is because the mesh has two parts, each labeled separately.  Each of these are called by something else to provide the open or closed state.  If you change the parts to both be the same then it appears not to work.  Basically the open/closed states both show at the same time, all the time.

Oh - that is a pitty, but thanks for you information.

I would have been nice to have matching shades without any extra work, but I'll recolor individually then.

Kind regards, Helle
