Mid Century Fireplace
« on: May 12, 2011, 01:56:12 AM »
A lovely freestanding fireplace in a Mid Century style. <love>  The original mesh is from AweSims and I've converted it to TS2.  I've remapped bits, tweaked the fire so the logs are actually burning, and enlarged the footprint(3x2) so Sims won't walk through the fireplace.  It has two recolorable subsets, the main body and the surfaces or ledges.  The Sims will only access it from one side though.

  • There are three slots randomly placed that are end table slots (larger items), use OMSPs if you want more clutter-ability
  • Base game compatible
  • No script file as there is no chimney, just place in your downloads folder
  • You will find it in Appliances/Misc

Yes. I've seen this Fireplace recoloured quite often in medieval world, but only recently downloaded it myself. I can think of quite a few lots (both period and modern), where this would make a great centerpiece. Thank you.

Since there is no chimney, does that mean there is no smoke?

The effects of chimney smoke are still in the file, so I am guessing yes?  I used a template by Numenor and I cannot remember if chimney smoke was disabled.
