Title: Making walls and floors Mac friendly
Post by: gayle_afcb on August 14, 2008, 11:18:37 AM
Graphics rendering in OS X is different than Windows.  OS X uses OpenGL and Windows uses DirectX.

Important sizes to make compatible walls and floors for Mac users:

Five easy steps to make Mac compatible walls and floors:
  1. Design your wallpaper in your graphics program as 256 x 768 or as 256x512.
  2. Resize it down to 256 x 512 if necessary.
  3. Import it to Homecrafter. Yes, this squashes the pattern, but the game corrects that.
  4. Export to game. Look in your downloads folder at the last wall/floor package and rename it something legible.
  5. Include the package file with your set instead of using Homecrafter to convert it to a sims2pack.
