Title: New Request
Post by: Lisfyre on May 19, 2009, 04:43:50 PM
Hey guys, I was looking for some items on the net when I stumbled across this.  I was wondering, could someone get creative and make me a quilt and or bedding out of this?   Or whatever else your creative minds can come up with?

It's bright, stunning and I just had to ask  :blush

No rush .. take your time... surprise me and ty in advance.

That was the first thing I thought of actually  :yes  But I didn't want to say anything, that's why I said get creative instead.  No doubt someone will  :)

PS Count me out - I tried a nursery and it was rubbish!  It's now in the bin lol  I think I will leave purty recolours to those good at them like Issy, Di, Ses and Kate  :yes :yes

Oh this is what I decided against subjecting you to!

Glad you like Lis, and thanks guys! Working on the rest of the bedroom now, but impending doom in the shape of my mother is descending upon me as off tomorrow morning early... so I don't know when I will be available again :(

Ok.. so the choice was between cleaning my house for my mother, and still being told nothing I do will ever be good enough, or making Lis happy.... no brainer really! I added a couple of bits to the quilt...

Lunie's blinds...

A screen...

A hanging quilt...

a little cloth on the bedside table...

Tell you what... I will put up the whole bedroom!

I agree with Nyx, both should offer it to everyone  :yes  You both did a good job and thanks Issy   Just as an FYI, I'm not a purple person but you coordinated that very well in this set.  Snagging and bagging as we speak.

ty ty ty ty ty

I so know what you mean - my mom used to be that way.  I could scrub the house from top to bottom with a toothbrush three times over and she'd still come in the house and spot that one spec of dust I missed.   The rule of thumb with my mom visiting was if she used your bathroom, your house passed the test - if not, you've failed miserably.  I've seen her do it too ... she'd go to the nearest hotel and rent a room just to use the toilet if she thought the bathroom wasn't up to snuff  lol  One of her bigger idiosyncracies  :rofl

lol sounds oh so familiar! I remember one year I was determined to not have nasty comments linking my house and a pig pen, so I did the same as you , I scrubbed and scrubbed. My mother came in and sniffed around for a bit. She wasn't saying a word, but I could see her eyes darting all over. Eventually, she reached up and passed a critical finger over the top of the door... " oh" she said" I see you didn;t have time to dust"... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So this year... I am going the other way... I have tidied, but not cleaned. ON purpose. She can bloody well do it , but she would not know where to start, she has always had staff.

I'll shut up now cause I am nearing breakdown and she has not even arrived yet. My mother in law is an angel, despite being German!  :gayle

ETA  Sorry Lis I am really not with it. You are welcome hun, glad you liked it! You could always ignore the purple bits, and only use the bits you like!

Ummmm Nyx, I'll check if I binned it before or after cleaning out the recycle bin - I thought it was rubbish so binned it  :blush

Issy shall I bring Lew round to visit - maybe your mum will be the one having the breakdown with Lew and your 2 going full pelt together  PNL
