Title: 2019 Winter Holiday Gift 3-ATS Alpine Winter
Post by: amythestfenix on December 18, 2019, 01:32:52 AM
Today I have more painted furniture recolors in the style of last year's Boron Bedroom (https://sims2artists.com/index.php?topic=5320.0) gift. From Around the Sims Alpine Winter Dining (http://sims2.aroundthesims3.com/objects/dining_009.html) set, I've done the coffee, dining, and end tables, and the chair and loveseat.

I recommend the updated meshes from shastakiss HERE (https://shastakiss.tumblr.com/tagged/sims+2+downloads/page/4) (grab her awesome recolors too if you don't already have them)!

I am blown away! I thought this set was really hard to retexture/recolor (e.g. wood grains looked so mirrored), but look at how gorgeous and detailed everything is! It's absolutely lovely, thank you!  :perfect10

Thank you, Shasta! I actually love doing this kind of fiddly recoloring- it's like painting furniture but not smelly, messy, or expensive and I don't have to find a place to put the piece when I'm finished  :))

One of my greatest wishes is that mesh creators would make sure the grain of wood runs correctly on furniture and that parts did not overlap- especially if the overlapping pieces should actually have the grain running in different directions.

So nice - and so many details :love

I wish I had patience for this kind of work - but I don't.
