Acanthus Coordinates
« on: January 31, 2010, 02:57:10 PM »
This coordinate group has a formal, monochromatic feel, well-suited to masculine rooms.
Most meshes may be found HERE if you need them, but you may already have them as I recolor the same things a lot...

bedding
5 Jonesi blankets
1 HugeLunatic-SunniSims bed ruffle
1 Holy Simoly Simply Elegant Curtains (You'll really want HL-Ambular's add-on set as well!)
1 Holy Simoly LaBoheme valance (you should get gayle_afcb's single version too)
Sherry's West Elm Pillows from Sims Cave
1 Alexis EASims Luxiary Sofa pillow recolor
1 hokadk47-SiPLiving6 sofa pillow recolor
Jope's blanket from SimplyStyling Bedroom 10
2 Gwenke-Parsimonious Deluxe Cushions & 2 Gwenke-Moune Timeronne Cushions
1 Mango-Sims Nestor Bedroom bed pillow

The set coordinates well with all solid objects I've done in zinnia, beachsand, and cypress.

Amy.. this is such a darling set.  Thank you.

I have been able to find most all of the meshes even though the links here are outdated.

Forgive my ignorance, but I am confused as to why this set only has the following two packages in it:

amythestfenix_HolySimolyLaBohemeValance_acanthus.package
amythestfenix_JopeSimplyStylingbedroom10blanket_acanthus.package

I am also confused by the two different Bijoux repository chair sets.  Do I need to have both sets in my downloads folder?

Thanks so much for letting me know about the messed up files! Unfortunately, this was posted 2 years ago and much has changed since then, and some files are lost. I've fixed the download files and the list of what's available in them. I'll try to track down the paintings, etc. for you, but right now I'm not sure where to find everything  :cry

I use Helle's jonesi-slaved Bijoux set only now, so just get that one (along with every other jonesi-slaved thing ever made  :)) ).

I really appreciate your kindness.  It was very sweet of you to update the links as best you could.  I was able to grab a couple more meshes.  I would love to have the correct pictures if you are able to locate them.  I d/l a lot of the recolors on Clutter-holic's blog, but don't think they are the same as one in your picture (which I really like).

My initial effort was meant to update my Sims since my computer crash two years ago with the wonderful talent that is graciously shared in this community.  I have found myself discovering the world of repository which, as I gather, saves a lot of unneeded files to bog down one's download folder.

Unfortunately, it seems to have had a reverse reaction for my engorged "to be added to downloads" folder.    I have thoroughly confused myself to the point I am not sure what is needed for what.  LOL   Hopefully I will catch on to how items work together one of these days and will figure out how to not overindulge my downloads folder.

I dread cleaning my closet.  Had it not been for Hurricane Katrina I would still be owning clothes from the 90's.  but it appears I have no choice but to face my demons and throw out the old and replace with the new so that my games doesn't take 30 minutes to load.

Would you have any suggestions the best way to view items to determine rather or not I will keep/add?

I have a test game which is empty of CC and only has 1 empty neighborhood, so it loads fast(to make one, rename your EA Games file-I just temporarily add "play", so it's EA Games PLAY- then restart the game; a new EA Games file will be generated with no custom content, go into the game and enable custom content, make an empty neighborhood, delete all pre-generated neighborhoods, and exit). Make a Downloads file for your new game and load up what you want to look at. Start the game. Make a lot in your neighborhood and place all your new CC on it. Delete what you don't like. Exit the game. Transfer the stuff you kept to your play game (I still use a folder in the play game for it called test until I've tested it in my play game to make sure it doesn't have problems with something I've already been using). Rename the EA Games files, so the play game is EA Games and the test game is EA Games Test, and your real game will load with your new content.

Thanks Amy... I will backup my EA Games folder and try that.
