I have periodic issues with mediafire as well, which I suspect is my internet provider choking downloading from it. I sometimes download things to my phone or tablet instead and then email it to myself and download to my computer. Sometimes mobile links will work with box etc when regular computer downloads won't. I will use data on my phone or like was suggested, Firefox will work when neither explorer or chrome won't. Late at night or really early in the morning sometimes works for me as well. I swear my ip blocks mediafire at peak internet hours when their internet has been hit too hard.
