Mapat can you please link to the page and not directly to the download?

This is called hotlinking and is very much frowned upon in the community.

Well the link you gave before went direct to the download, which is not good.  Instead copy the url and paste. :)  That way we can see the page, and the image of the download.   The link you gave was a 404, it was restricted.  So we couldn't see what it was anyway.

And as amythestfenix said, we just want to help you out with things you may not know.  I wouldn't want you to hotlink like that on a larger site and get in trouble.

I'd actually like to have this lamp (working properly) myself! HERE is the link.

I looked at the lamp, but I fail to see an issue.  I may be blind. :p

This light takes the original lighting from the lamp it was cloned from, which is the cheap value wall light and it lights the room the same amount.

So is the request to have a stronger light source?  If so, which light do you want it to mimic?

I'll take a look and see, but it probably does need a stronger light source as the cheap wall light isn't very bright. I'm going in game soon and I'll report back  :)

Having had a look too, I find that all wall lights are ok inside, but not too bright outdoors. I will try and adjust the lighting values in SimPE to match those outdoors, and also the texture to make the bulb look like its lit.

So I think the issue is two things.  One the light reference in the Light Text file.  And two, the light pattern mesh and maybe the txtr to go along with it.  It is very small.  Pretty sure the light pattern mesh is what dictates the size of the light area.

Plasticbox did a fix for a lot of the table and floor lamps in the game a while back at MTS if you want to investigate it.

Well, I am sort of getting there. The light is now a little brighter, the bulb shows as it should do... but I have issues... shadow issues!!! I hate them! I tried taking them out, but then the light looks really flat especially at night time, but somehow they seem to stick out on the fixed mesh and don't on the original...

I extracted the mesh, and cloned the Euro wall lamp from OFB. I then put the mesh back on that and adjusted the textures and values. I forgot to check if it takes the recolours...

I have let the sort-of-fix override the original so only have one in game, but here is the file if any one can help with the silly shadows... I want to live in a world without shadows! :reaction
